Walking
There are plenty of walks around here. A strenuous walk to the top of Criggion to see Rodney's Pillar or even try the three hills together that make up the Breidden Hills.
Offa's Dyke Path passes very close by, as does the Severn Way. We welcome well behaved dogs and they will love the local walks. There is a nice flat 4 mile walk 'round the block' which is nice & flat and very easy. We can show you the way. Malcolm jogs around here in about 34 minutes!
Fishing
We are very close to the River Severn. We're not experts on fishing but our Farmer Neighbour has 1200m of river bank and you can fish from here for £5.50 per rod per day. See us for a ticket.
Shooting
Haimwood Shooting Ground is very close by. Call direct to book.
Cycling and Canoeing
Bring your bikes and canoes for some spectacular action. The Bala White Water centre is an hour away by car.
Shopping
We all love shopping.
Locally is Lewis' Garage for fuel, small but well stocked supermarket, Calor Gas, Post Office and booze.
Shrewsbury is a delightful medieval town with fantastic shopping. Parking is plenty too.
Oswestry is a small market town but with a nice selection of shops. There is Sainsburys, Marks & Spencers, Aldi and plenty of small independant stores.
Welshpool has just had a new Tesco store and is also a nice little town to wander around.
